LD Systems MAILA SPA Description

The LD Systems MAILA SPA is the only MAILA module without integrated loudspeakers, yet it plays a central role in the modular system design. Built with an elegant unibody aluminum housing, it houses a powerful 1.25 kW RMS Class D amplifier with SysCore® DSP capable of controlling up to eight MAILA SAT satellites.

Using SmartLink+®, satellites can be directly mounted onto the module and supplied wirelessly with both signal and power. The system automatically detects connected components, allowing for efficient automatic or manual DSP configuration. Integrated protection circuits including limiter, overheating, and overload safeguards ensure reliable operation in demanding live sound environments.

The MAILA SPA supports flexible deployment options. It can be used in ground stack configurations with a speaker pole or in flown setups when paired with the optional EasyMount+® truss adapter. This makes it suitable for portable event systems, fixed installations, and scalable touring applications.

With LogoLink®, Bluetooth® antennas are seamlessly integrated into the LD logo, enabling wireless control via the free MAILA app (iPadOS). The app automatically recognizes connected MAILA components, assists with optimal system configuration—including SAT angle calculation—and allows wireless software updates. With a Bluetooth® range of up to 70 meters, system setup and control remain convenient and efficient.
