Yamaha MS101-4 Description

The Yamaha MS101-4 features a 4" (10.1 cm) full-range cone driver with a 1" (25.4 mm) voice coil housed in a bass-reflex, ported enclosure for enhanced low-frequency response down to 77 Hz. The redesigned cabinet maintains a compact footprint while delivering balanced sound suitable for nearfield monitoring and speech applications.

Powered by a 30W RMS Class-D amplifier, the MS101-4 produces up to 115 dB SPL, offering clean output for studio reference, keyboard monitoring, small presentation systems, and classroom use. The sturdy metal grille helps protect the driver during transport and mobile operation.

The front panel includes a combo XLR-1/4" TRS balanced/unbalanced mic/line input, along with volume, HF shelf, and LF shelf EQ controls for quick tonal adjustments. Rear-panel connections include a 3.5mm TRS unbalanced line input, a 1/4" TRS balanced/unbalanced line input, and a 1/4" TRS balanced/unbalanced line output for linking to another monitor or compatible device.

Operating on 100–240V AC, the MS101-4 is ready for worldwide use. The enclosure supports vertical orientation and includes two M5 mounting points on the bottom panel for flexible installation options.
